A New event started in 2007 to try and rejuvenate interest in the Old 27 Highway system which ran from Cheboygan Michigan to Miami Florida in its heyday. With groups like Route 66 and the Lincoln Highway they are trying to get established in the Historic Highways system which can bring on funding for their cause. The Old 27 Cruise event is going into its third year and it looks like it would be a great time for us scooterists. The start is in Coldwater MI on August 18, 2009 and ends in Cheboygan MI on the 23^rd. The director said that our group would be very welcome to participate.
